I was jonesing for a Monaco Elite a couple of months ago, but wisely held off simply because I didn't have the money on hand. That said, I continued to watch the prices. Anyway, on eBay auctions, they would usually only fetch between $1,300 and $1,700.

I have this, been told, mid-90s Hamer, with no other markings besides the Hamer, and the serial-Made in Korea on the back screen printed. It has Duncan Designed pickups and gold knobs. It's a deep purple flame top with a binding. Great, hefty, guitar and the action is fantastic.
