Locomotion opened in October 2004 and is run as a partnership between the National Railway Museum and Durham County Council. WebOur normal opening hours are Wednesday–Sunday, 10.00–16.00 (winter), 10.00–17.00 (summer). We are currently on winter opening hours. Last admission is 15.30 (winter), 16.30 (summer). A typical visit takes two hours. Food and drink Café Number One is open daily from 10.00 until 15.30.
